Job Summary
Our client who provides accounting auditing and tax advisory solutions is looking to hire an Account Officer to join their team. Reporting to the CEO you will be responsible for supporting accounting and compliance functions by maintaining accurate financial records preparing financial reports and ensuring adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct stock taking for client businesses.
- Maintain accurate and proper accounting records for clients.
- Prepare monthly business performance reports.
- Prepare financial statements and file with the Registrar Generals Department.
- Manage statutory obligations including VAT PAYE SSNIT and other regulatory payments.
- Assist with tax compliance reconciliations and financial record verification.
- Assist with audit where required.
- Liaise with clients to obtain and verify financial information.
Requirements
- Must have an HND/Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a similar field.
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years work experience in the same or similar role.
- Must have knowledge of accounting and taxation
- Possess strong organisational and time management skills.
- Possess excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (mandatory) and other accounting software.
- Ability to pay attention to detail and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work occasional Saturdays based on operational requirements.
- Must reside within Tema or its environs.
