POSITION SUMMARY
SILP Tutor-instructors are generally native speakers with experience in language teaching who bring to the classroom a wealth of cultural and linguistic knowledge. Their role is to provide communicative opportunities to the students and to create a self-guided environment for students to work on their language learning.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
with students in small group sessions as assigned
conversational skills through various language pattern drills
dialogues and exercises (pre-learned by the students)
students errors
the comprehension ability of students when practicing conversational drills
a useful aid to the student in the study of the language
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
fluency in the language to be taught
to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
