We are currently seeking aPatient Billing Specialistto join our team and support the financial experience of our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing processes insurance claim submissions patient account resolution and a commitment to delivering professional accurate and compassionate service in a fast-paced environment.

Patient Billing Job Responsibilities:

• Maintains excellent customer service skills
• Maintains basic knowledge of medical billing terminology
• Ability to verify patients demographics & insurance information
• Ability to interpret & explain an EOB
• Ability to explain the difference between a copay coinsurance and deductible
• Collaborate with patients to set up payment arrangements
• Prepare invoices and record payments
• Collect patient payment information
• Send receipts and/or itemized bills to appropriate party
• Other administrative support duties as assigned

Patient Billing Specialist Job Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience in medical billing.
• At least 1 year of experience working with EMR and ECW preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent communication computer skills and ability to pay attention to detail.
• Positive attitude that welcomes teamwork.
• Ability to multitask effectively.
• Experience with medical billing codes and terminology.
