Job Summary
We are seeking a Supermarket Manager to oversee daily store operations drive sales growth and ensure excellent customer service delivery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory supervising staff optimizing store performance and ensuring compliance with retail standards and company policies
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Performance
- Drive sales growth and ensure achievement of monthly and annual revenue targets.
- Monitor daily weekly and monthly sales performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Analyse product performance to identify fast-moving and slow-moving items and optimize stock levels accordingly.
- Monitor competitor pricing and market trends to maintain competitiveness in the market.
Inventory & Stock Management
- Ensure effective inventory control stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO) and product availability at all times.
- Implement strong stock control measures to minimize shrinkage wastage and losses.
- Oversee stock reconciliation and ensure accuracy between physical stock and system records.
Store Operations & Merchandising
- Maintain high merchandising standards and ensure compliance with planograms and display guidelines.
- Ensure proper store layout cleanliness and operational efficiency.
- Monitor product placement to enhance customer experience and sales performance.
Team Leadership & Staff Management
- Lead supervise and develop store team members to ensure productivity and efficiency.
- Conduct staff training and performance monitoring to improve service delivery.
- Foster a performance-driven and customer-focused work environment.
Customer Service & Compliance
- Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained at all times.
- Handle and resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with company policies operational procedures and retail standards.
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare periodic reports on sales performance inventory status and operational challenges.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve store performance and profitability.
Requirements
- Minimum of HND in Business Administration Retail Management or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in supermarket retail or FMCG operations.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management merchandising and retail operations.
- Proven leadership experience in managing teams and driving sales performance.
- Excellent analytical communication and interpersonal skills.
- Preferably a female candidate.
