Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineering graduate to join our team as a Trainee Planning Engineer. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in cost estimation and quantity take-offs within the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing quantity take-offs from architectural and structural drawings.
Support senior estimators in developing accurate cost estimates for residential commercial or infrastructure projects.
Use Bluebeam Revu for digital plan review markup and measurement.
Utilize PlanSwift for efficient and accurate material quantity estimation.
Participate in bid preparation vendor quotation analysis and document control.
Collaborate with design procurement and project teams to ensure estimate alignment with project scope.
Maintain updated databases of costs and estimation templates.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from reputed institute / university
Strong understanding of construction drawings BOQs and specifications.
Basic proficiency in Bluebeam Revu and PlanSwift is essential.
Good analytical and numerical skills.
Proficient in MS Excel and other MS Office tools.
Strong attention to detail time management and communication skills.

Required Skills:

Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field. 25 years of proven experience in PHP development especially during night shifts or freelance/remote assignments. Strong understanding of OOP principles and MVC architecture. Hands-on experience with PHP frameworks (Laravel CodeIgniter or others). Good knowledge of JavaScript jQuery AJAX HTML5 CSS3. Proficiency in writing MySQL queries stored procedures and database schema design. Experience with version control systems (Git/GitHub/Bitbucket). Familiarity with server-side scripting and deployment processes (Apache/Nginx cPanel/SSH). Ability to work independently with minimal guidance. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Skills: Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress Magento). Knowledge of DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Exposure to Docker APIs WebSockets and cloud services (AWS Azure etc.). Shift & Work Expectations: Must be comfortable working night shifts. Ability to manage deadlines independently and collaborate with teams across different time zones. Available for occasional calls or huddles during non-standard hours as required.
