About the Team
Reporting into the Legal function this role will assist both the functions in the day-to-day activities including but not limited toproviding support advice oversight and data protection risk management to WTW businesses and functional groups to ensure appropriate protection of personal information.
Job Summary
- Works with the Privacy Legal Team providing general support to the Privacy Legal function e.g. performing specific research or create content (e.g. slides charts summaries etc.) in relation to a particular topic subject matter or issue to support the Privacy Counsels in each region as required.
- Undertake first level contractual review on privacy clauses/ DPAs(Data Processing Agreements) etc. subject to oversight by the Privacy Counsels.
- Support privacy projects including gap analysis implementations and other activities in support of implementation projects globally.
- Assist with horizon scanning identifying and analyzing new and updated global privacy laws and regulations.
- Participate and attend regular meetings as may be arranged from time to time.
- Other assignments as determined by Privacy Counsels and Privacy Legal Team across geography
The Role
- Provide general support to the Privacy Legal function e.g. performing specific research or create content (e.g. slides charts summaries etc.) in relation to a particular topic subject matter or issue to support the Privacy Counsels in each region as required.
- Provide assistance with horizon scanning identifying and analyzing new global privacy laws and regulations in support of implementation (e.g. gap analysis updating privacy notices analyzing contract requirements identifying transfer mechanisms etc.).
- Undertake first level contractual review on privacy clauses/ DPAs (Data Processing Agreements) etc. subject to oversight by the Privacy Counsels.
- Supporting projects and initiatives from the Privacy Team
The Requirements
- Working with other teams and disciplines towards a common goal
- A developing knowledge and enthusiasm for Legal and Privacy subject matters
- Problem solving and maintaining SLAs(Service Level Agreements) in a highly available environment.
- Working to deadlines and maintaining a high degree of organization to your work
- Highly computer literate
- Communicating clearly
- An understanding of privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR(General Data Protection Regulation) CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act) and other U.S. (United States) and global privacy laws) as well as wider regulations/ practices in novel topics such as responsible AI (Artificial intelligence).
- Prior experience in contract review and advise on legal requirements.
- Law graduate or equivalent experience in a privacy field
- Privacy certification(s)
