The Operations Automation Specialist supports multiple robotic and automated systems across the operations environment. This role leads and supports automation initiatives provides technical troubleshooting and partners with crossfunctional teams to ensure smooth deployment and sustained performance of automated solutions. The specialist also serves as the operational owner for automation-related applications training and issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
Automation Development & Support
Program debug and troubleshoot robotic and automated systems.
Support or lead deployment of automation solutions within operations.
Monitor system performance and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
Project Leader Responsibilities
Lead small to mid-scale automation projects from planning through execution.
Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders ensuring alignment on deliverables risks and timelines.
Manage project documentation scheduling and progress tracking.
Guide teams in adopting automation processes and ensuring smooth implementation.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to automation and operational efficiency.
CrossFunctional Collaboration
Partner with application and software support teams to troubleshoot automation-related issues.
Serve as the operational owner of technical ticket management including communication of status and resolution to stakeholders.
Training & Standards Execution
Train end users and operations support teams on automated system applications.
Serve as the local application owner and provide ongoing operational support.
Support the implementation and adherence to operational and automation standards.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Automation Engineering Control Systems Engineering or a field focused on automation systems.
Experience in automation industrial machinery robotics or technical troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with system debugging troubleshooting or supporting automated technologies.
Ability to lead small projects or workstreams.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Willingness to work in operational/production environments.
Strong communication skills for training and stakeholder interaction.
Nice-to-Have (Optional)
Experience with PLCs automated machinery or robotics systems.
Exposure to RPA tools (e.g. UiPath Blue Prism Automation Anywhere).
Basic scripting or programming experience (e.g. Python VB C# or similar).
Experience in lean continuous improvement or quality management methodologies.
Technical certifications in automation robotics IT or related areas.

Additional Information
Full Time Employment - On Site 5 days
Working Hours: Monday Friday 07:30 am. 04:30 pm.
Work location: Caterpillar (Thailand) Ltd. WHA Industrial Land Rayong
