This role responsible for account management business development and commercial management of assigned account(s) at the cluster Singapore & Malaysia level. This role is pivotal to propel the growth of client relationship into long-term strategic partnership with dedicated focus on cross-selling of integrated freight and logistics solutions. It requires effective engagement with country product management as well as interface with regional stakeholders.

Key Outcomes:

  • Understanding the opportunities the client presents and preparing annual growth plan.
  • Growth of the account (s) and delivery of financial metrics (revenue volume GP & DSO / ARwhere relevant) in line with agreed budget and development targets.
  • Successful business development planning and ensuring the implementation of new businessopportunities from initial opportunity creation to establishment of stable operation.
  • Understanding where specific capabilities need to be developed in order to meet clientsexpectations and identifying those needs to local or regional management

Accountabilities:

  • Serve as the commercial focal point of contact for the client and develop strategic multi-levelrelationships with those responsible for the various logistics functions of the client.
  • Be the internal consultant and coordinator for all aspects of business relationship facilitatesharing of know-how about the client with internal stakeholders.
  • Be the point of liaison with the client on all business-related matters pertaining to overallbusiness process and implementation including new potential business commercial issues scope of agreement business improvements and ongoing service performance.
  • Respond to complex and sensitive logistics issues and questions; create innovative and profitable solutions in tandem with specialist departments within DSV
  • Involvement in pre-RFQ process RFQ scoping solutioning presentation negotiation andpost-RFQ reviews.
  • Plan and drive Monthly Operational Reviews Quarterly Business Reviews and ProjectWorkshops with the client.

Skills Required:

  • Leadership skills are required to establish strategy and direction including developinga vision for future business with the client developing strategies for producing the changes required to achieve the vision aligning and influencing people motivating and inspiring the account team the internal people responsible for the success of the client.
  • Relationship management and communication skills to assist with planning &budgeting organizing & staffing controlling & problem-solving.
  • Business acumen with the ability to influence outcomes across multiple locations
  • Leadership and people management abilities with effective communication skills
  • Excellent financial and process analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a client driven deadline environment
  • Ability to work in cross-functional matrix & virtual environment
  • Project management experience preferable
