Job Description:
We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director Contracts to lead a team of contract professionals for one of LHXs most dynamic and diverse sectors. As a key member of the TSS LT you will shape contract strategy manage risk and ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirementsprotecting company interests while enabling growth. You will collaborate across functions to influence contract practices and drive operational improvements. With deep expertise in UCC FAR international and commercial contracting and government procurement you will help align business decisions with customer requirements and financial imperatives. This role leads an organization who manages complex contracts critical to achieving financial goals including orders revenue operating income and cash flow while continuously improving systems and processes to deliver measurable results.
Essential Functions:
- Lead a team of contract professionals and provide direction for assigned contracts and programs.
- Serve as a key member of the TSS sector leadership team representing contract matters across the business.
- Act as the primary liaison between L3Harris and customers maintaining strong relationships and communication.
- Review RFPs assess risk prepare proposals and negotiate contracts with commercial and US Government customers.
- Ensure contract acquisition and fulfillment align with company policies legal requirements and customer specifications.
- Analyze material estimates production costs performance requirements and delivery schedules for accuracy and completeness in both proposals and EACs
- Conduct change management and communicate equitable adjustment rights to customers.
- Utilize contract management systems to record awards modifications and maintain historical contract data.
- Advise management on contractual rights obligations and potential risks.
- Prepare process and present specifications progress reports and other required documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes streamline operations and implement business improvements.
- Demonstrate critical thinking problem-solving and ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Build effective relationships across teams and foster collaboration to achieve business objectives.
- Clearly present information to management and broad audiences supporting informed decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience or in lieu of a degree minimum of 19 years of prior related experience
- Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
- 13 years experience in contract Management or a related field.
- 13 years experience in contract lifecycle management: RFP review proposal preparation negotiation and administration.
- 5 years experience with both commercial contracts and negotiating contracts
- 13 years experience governmentcontracts and negotiating contracts
- 13 years experience in revenue recognition pricing strategies and financial impact of contracts.
- 5 years experience in leading engaging and inspiring high-performing contacts teams; success in leading organizational growth establishing strategies and driving scalable process improvements; developing and implementing team performance measures and metrics; Experience in creating and delivering executive-level reports and briefings; risk assessment and mitigation related to contractual obligations and terms.
- 13 years experience in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS). Experience in both Part 12 and Part 15 contracting.
- 13 years experience drafting reviewing and negotiating NDAs teaming agreements and licensing agreements.
- 13 years experience working with export control regulations including ITAR and EAR.
- Ability to travel 25%
