Job Summary:
We are looking for a right-brained ID to perform all phases of Interior Design work including planning designing and overseeing the construction. You will be involved in new building designs extensions alterations restorations and conservations from the earliest stages right through to completion. The goal is to match clients needs and to produce sustainable functional and aesthetically pleasing designs.
Main Responsibilities:
- Review Interior Design Specifications provided by ID Consultants to ensure that all works are carried out to specific standards building codes guidelines and regulations
- Review Interior Designs provided by ID Consultants and comment on feasibility function operation maintenance materials buildability etc.
- Review ID Contractors shop drawings to ensure compliant with Design Drawings and specifications
- Attend inspections of ID works and ensure compliant with design and specifications
- Review submissions of materials and samples to ensure compliant with design and specifications
- Report to Design Manager (Design Stage) and Senior Architect / Finishing Manager (Construction Stage)
Main Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of Proven working experience in Interior Design in high rise building Hotel Condo Luxury standards is a plus
- Strong portfolio to prove artistic skills
- Expert knowledge of building products construction details and relevant rules regulations and national/international quality standards
- Excellent drawing skills and familiarity with design software (AutoCAD Revit Adobe Photoshop SketchUp 3d Studio VIZ or similar)
- Good ability with Microsoft Office
- Good Communication
- Good level of English across all disciplines
- BS degree in Interior Design equivalent
