Job Summary
GenPridesCommunications Coordinator is an interim position that centers aging racial and LGBTQ justice to mobilize strengthen and buildGenPridesnetwork of individuals and organizations through messaging development digital and print communications community-centric principles.
This part-time temporary independent contractpositionworks primarilyremotely with at least one dayin-personweekly. TheCommunicationsCoordinators schedule includes some early morning evening and weekend hours. This position reports to theCommunityGiving Managerand engagesstaff partners participants volunteers board members and supporters to meet goals.

GenPrideadvocates for the unique needs of older LGBTQIA2S adults in Seattle and King County and offers innovative programs and services that promote well-being prevent social isolation and cultivate belonging justice and liberation.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate communications strategies to elevateGenPridesvoice and drive our engagement strategiesto meet established goals.
- Assist withGenPridesinternal and external messaging to expand and deepen connection to our work includingdigital and printedcontent creation curation for a variety of sources like the e-newsletter website socialmedia channels.
- Collaborate widelywith staff volunteers community partnersto develop prioritize and implement key communications plans messages and organizational storytelling.
- Coordinate organization-wide communications calendar to ensure effective and strategic use of publications email campaigns social media and other platforms.
- Managedonorand communications data listsmailmergeand reports.
- Manage communications engagement processes for donors and for newsletter subscribersusingagency CRMand othertechnology platforms.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- At least two years of experience coordinating and managingcommunicationsprojects in a professional setting.
- Strong and versatile communication and storytelling skills including writing speaking and synthesizing information for various audiences.
- A deep commitment to racial aging and LGBTQjustice and experience working with people with a breadth of lived experiences especially those whoare disproportionatelyimpactedby injustices including elder LGBTQ and BIPOC folks.
- Experience with bulk email and donor management platforms as well as strong skills across social media platform use and best practices.
- Ability to authentically connect withGenPridesmission and aspirations through yourpersonal experiences.
- Outstanding organizational skills attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative environment willing to communicate and welcome ideas and suggestions.
- Proficiencywithsocial media digital mailSalesforce Microsoft Office (Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint and SharePoint) and Adobe Suite and willingness to adapt tonew technologies.
