Our client is an International Mining House where an opportunity exists for a dedicated hardworking and enthusiastic and results driven individual to join one of their mines based in Delmas. They are offering a rewarding and exciting opportunity within the Mining space for an experienced individual with a proven track record in the category of Financial Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
Purpose of the Job
The incumbent will be accountable for the accounting operations of the Mine.
Key Performance Areas
- Manage the financial planning cost control and reporting services
- Daytoday accounting processing and transactional finance
- Preparation of journals reconciliations and monthend close
- Debtors creditors and cashbook management
- The preparation of management accounts and internal reporting
- Analyze applications received from departments for capital expenditure.
- Perform financial calculation of capital expenditure applications.
- Manage the capital expenditure process according to company policies and time frames.
- Compile monthly capital expenditure reports for internal and external role players.
- Execute capitalization of final fixed assets according company policies and procedures within stipulated time frames.
- Manage training/coaching activities in the department.
- Set annual and monthly goals objectives and targets with and for subordinates.
- Do regular performance/development reviews.
- Manage employee(s) within section
- Ensure compliance to established business and government regulations

Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting Finance or equivalent (e.g. BCom Accounting National Diploma in Accounting or Financial Management)
- Honours Degree In Accounting or CIMA / CFMA will be an advantage
- 7 – 8 years’ experience
- Experience in mining will be advantageous
- International Financial Reporting Standards and MS Office package.
Remuneration
- Will be according to qualifications and experience and will include competitive conditions of employment. Salary will be market related
