Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organizedAccounting & Payroll Specialist to support our finance operations. Thisrole is responsible for managing sales posting accounts receivable processesand bi-weekly payroll administration across the company and its ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills a high level ofaccuracy and experience working with accounting and payroll systems.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Accounts Receivable Management
- Ensure all sales are recorded timely and accurately in Dynamics GP
- Review sales batches to confirm transactions are captured in the appropriate accounting period
- Review and post daily retail sales
- Monitor the Accounts Receivable account and maintain accurate balances
- Prepare credit reports for new customers for review
- Generate and distribute customer invoices
- Prepare and send monthly customer statements
- Conduct collection calls for past-due accounts
- Record all deposits in Dynamics GP for the company and its subsidiaries
- Process returns and adjustment entries in Dynamics GP
- Manage chargebacks in coordination with Signifyd
- Record all chargebacks accurately in the system
Payroll Administration
- Process bi-weekly payroll for the company and its subsidiaries using Netchex
- Ensure all employee time is accurately recorded including bonus calculations for production staff
- Prepare payroll detail reports for final approval
- Create and post payroll-related journal entries in Dynamics GP
- Initiate transfers from the operating account to the payroll account
- Upload and record manual payroll checks in the system
- Process off-cycle (ad hoc) payroll as needed
Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field preferred
- 5 years of experience in accounting and/or payroll processing
- Experience with Dynamics GP and Netchex (or similar systems) preferred
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable and payroll processes
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
