Responsibilities:

  • Agree to and execute 3 days per week in office for setting appointments prep/call/follow up experience and more. No remote hours will be approved.
  • Understand the primary goal of this internship is to consistently set new business consultative appointments for our teams and learn / grow through that process
  • Attend weekly in-person check-in and coaching sessions with your producer mentors at the Fort Worth office including a quick check-in call with Fort Worth Area President
  • Keep updated a running list of all set meetings progress post-meeting and follow up details with each throughout your internship.
  • Proactively schedule additional time with SRMs Producers etc. as needed for support and guidance.
  • When 3 set meetings are achieved in any week find time on mentors schedules to shadow or join them on client / prospect meetings later that week as desired.
  • Record and submit hours worked along with confirmed set meetings that occur for additional commission component outlined below.
  • Prepare for and present a final project to HUB Fort Worth leadership (and your mentors) on success challenges results and key areas of improvement at the end of your internship.

Pay structure:

The Sales Intern will receive a base hourly rate of $20.00 per hour paid on a bi-weekly basis. Additionally the Sales Intern will have the potential to receive a commissions bonus of $50.00 for each appointment set:

  • $50.00 per confirmed appointment
  • Appointments must be with pre-defined decision makers of target-sized companies/industries
  • The appointment must actually happen to qualify for commission
  • Monitoring of appointments and reporting of commission amounts will be handled by the Fort Worth sales team in collaboration with the Sales Intern
  • The commission bonus will be paid monthly one month in arrears
  • In weeks where you set 3 appointments or more you can ride along or shadow other appts with your mentors

Employment Terms:

  • This is a part-time temporary position not eligible for benefits
  • The companys standard work week for a Sales Intern is 3 days a week up to a maximum of 20 hours per week Monday Friday. This is a required in-office position.
  • Duration: Until end of temporary assignment with potential to extend until graduation; opportunity to be considered for potential future full-time employment based on strong performance and results

Qualifications:

  • Preferred areas of study include but are not limited to Risk Management & Insurance Business Management Sales
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize effectively
  • Self-directed and a willingness to work independently at times
  • Desire and willingness to learn about serving others & consultative selling within the insurance industry
  • A positive attitude that embraces teamwork and learning while understanding the importance of individual effort habits and results.

Department Office Administration & Clerical

Required Education: High school or equivalent
