Job Description: Technical Manager
Position Overview
The Technical Manageris responsible for planning executing and delivering complex technical projects within scope budget and timeline. The role requires a blend of project management expertise and strong technical understanding to collaborate with engineering teams stakeholders and customers.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Define project scope goals deliverables and success criteria.
- Develop detailed project plans schedules and resource plans.
- Lead end-to-end execution of technical projects.
Technical Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and quality.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Conduct technical risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate project progress risks and issues through reports dashboards and presentations.
- Manage expectations dependencies and cross-team coordination.
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify document and track project risks and impediments.
- Implement proactive mitigation strategies.
- Handle escalation paths and ensure timely resolution.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure deliverables meet functional technical and security standards.
- Work with QA/Eng teams on testing strategies and acceptance criteria.
- Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field (Masters preferred).
- 15 years of experience in technical support management or related roles.
- Strong understanding of network & security technologies
- Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts system architecture and cloud platforms etc.
- Excellent communication leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
- Certifications like CCNP/CCIE CEH/CISSP ITIL or Cloud platforms are a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with distributed or cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS Azure OCP).
- Familiarity with Network practices (CI/CD automation).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Adaptable and comfortable with fast-paced evolving environments
