Job Summary
The Nurse Supervisor (Assistant Director of Nursing) provides leadership supervision and administrative oversight to nursing staff within a healthcare setting. This role ensures high-quality patient care regulatory compliance and supports clinical operations staff development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support nursing staff to ensure safe effective and high-quality patient care.
- Oversee daily clinical operations and staffing to maintain efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Provide leadership mentoring and performance management for nursing teams.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies state regulations and accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
- Assist in staff education training programs and competency development.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and operational planning.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License New York State
Education & Experience
- Masters Degree in Nursing 5 years of nursing experience (including 3 years in a supervisory or teaching role) OR
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing 6 years of nursing experience (including 4 years in a supervisory or teaching role)
