Job Summary
Key job responsibilities
In this role the BA will be responsible for leveraging data driven approach to proactively identify opportunities to improve the quality of Amazons catalog by performing the following:
Partner with technology leaders program managers operations leaders and other internal stakeholders globally to identify quantify and solve for opportunities to improve Catalog Quality.
Define design measure and present metrics / reports on different programs to Senior Management.
Helping operations with regular and ad hoc query/ data ETL jobs and work on simplifying/ standardizing operational metrics and reporting
Enable effective decision making by retrieving aggregating and synthesizing massive data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format. Develop solutions that utilize the highest standards of analytical rigor and data integrity.
Analyze and solve business problems for understanding root causes and driving forward-looking opportunities
Propose optimal techniques to sample massive product catalog for humans to audit different dimensions of data quality issues
Establish relationship between output metrics and drivers in order to identify critical drivers and control critical drivers.
Ability to write functional specs for tools and drive UAT for business requirements
A Business Analyst will use the following tools -

- 1 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
- 2 years of Excel or Tableau (data manipulation macros charts and pivot tables) experience
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience creating complex SQL queries joining multiple datasets ETL DW concepts
- Experience working with Tableau
- Experience using very large datasets
- Experience using Python or R for data analysis or statistical tools such as SAS
