Description of Work
The North Carolina Zoo is expanding making this an exciting opportunity to join our team. We are seeking a detailoriented efficient and customerfocused individual to serve as a Cash Management Assistant/Reservation Assistant.In this role the Cash Management/Reservation Assistant supports the Cash Management and Reservations Branch by providing accurate efficient and friendly service to Zoo guests and staff. Team members are trained to process advance ticket sales and reservations assist with daily cash office operations and utilize pointofsale and online reservation systems. They handle financial transactions maintain precise records respond to inquiries and help ensure smooth professional support for Zoo programs events and daily operations.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
*Rotate between the Reservations/Advance Ticket Sales Office and the Cash Management Office as needed; crosstraining will be provided.
*Provide excellent customer service in person by phone and online to both internal and external customers.
*Process park ticket sales through group sales picnic rentals online sales and other reservation channels.
*Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when entering alphabetical and numerical data.
*Use computers and standard or specialized office equipment to complete daily tasks including pointofsale systems reservation software specialty printers and currency counters.
*Remain fully accountable for cash cash items and making change.
*Assist with daily operational funds deposits and financial reporting as directed.
*Display a sense of urgency and professionalism at all times.
*Assist with additional duties and support other Guest Services areas as assigned.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Recruitment Range: $16.00 per hour

Management Prefers
Experience in cash handling reservations or guestservices work including but not limited to processing financial transactions assisting customers in person or by phone using pointofsale or reservation software and maintaining accurate records for ticketing group sales or event bookings.
Position & Physical Requirements
Possesses sufficient cognitive ability auditory and visual acuity and communication skills to perform essential duties and follow general safety practices for animals and guests.
Willing and able to work varied and extended shifts including holidays weekends and event support as needed which may fall outside normal Zoo operating hours.
Able to navigate paved rough or uneven pathways.
Must be at least 18 years of age
Available to work weekends and holidays

Veterans and National Guard Preference
Applicants seeking Veterans Preference must attach a DD Form 214 Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty along with the state application.
Applicants seeking National Guard Preference must attach an NGB 23A (RPAS) along with the state application if they are a current member of the NC National Guard in good standing.
