About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced 3rd Line IT Engineer to join our Global IT team with a specialist focus on Messaging and Collaboration solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design support and optimization of our Microsoft 365 environment with particular emphasis on Exchange Online Microsoft Teams and SharePoint addition this role requires a strong background in email security and hygiene solutions specifically Proofpoint to ensure the integrity and security of our global communications. You will act as a subject matter expert providing advanced technical support project delivery and proactive improvements across our collaboration platforms.

This position may require occasional night shifts and is perfect for a proactive analytical individual who can not only troubleshoot and resolve critical incidents but also contribute to the long-term strategic development of our collaboration platforms.

What you will do:

• Provide 3rd line support for Microsoft 365 messaging and collaboration services (Exchange Online Teams SharePoint Online OneDrive).

• Administer configure and troubleshoot Proofpoint Email Security & Compliance solutions (Email Hygiene EFD SER etc.).

• Act as a subject matter expert for complex incidents root cause analysis and problem resolution.

• Design implement and maintain improvements to messaging and collaboration solutions ensuring scalability security and performance.

• Collaborate with IT security teams to enforce policies compliance and governance for email and collaboration systems.

• Support migrations integrations and upgrades within the Microsoft 365 and Proofpoint environments.

• Work closely with the Service Desk (1st & 2nd line) to provide guidance knowledge transfer and escalation support.

• Contribute to global IT projects including deployment of new collaboration tools tenant configurations and automation initiatives.

• Create and maintain technical documentation knowledge base articles and runbooks.

• Stay current with Microsoft 365 and industry best practices recommending improvements to enhance services.

What you will need :

Must Have Skills:

• 4-6 years proven experience in a 3rd line IT support / infrastructure engineer role in a global or enterprise environment.

• Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 collaboration tools including:

  • Exchange Online (hybrid knowledge desirable)

  • Microsoft Teams (policies governance integrations)

  • SharePoint Online & OneDrive administration

• In depth knowledge about compliance retention and data governance within Microsoft 365.

• Strong hands-on experience with Proofpoint Email Hygiene solutions including policy creation troubleshooting and advanced administration.

• Good understanding of email flow DNS records (SPF DKIM DMARC) and general messaging security practices.

• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for Microsoft 365 administration and automation.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills able to manage complex issues independently.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical stakeholders in an international environment.

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with Exchange Hybrid environments and mail migrations.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD and identity management.

• Exposure to wider security solutions (MFA Conditional Access SIEM).

• Familiarity with ITIL processes and working in a structured service delivery model.

• Knowledge of AI tools specifically Microsoft Copilot

• Previous experience in an international company with distributed teams.

• Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g. MS-700 MS-203 or MS-102) highly desirable.

• Proofpoint certifications advantageous.

• ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
