Job Summary

Pay Class: Full-TimePay Type: SalariedPOSITION SUMMARYThe Senior Accountant plays a pivotal role in maintaining and managing the financial health of the organization. This position involves overseeing various financial activities ensuring accurate financial reporting analyzing data and providing strategic insights to support informed decision-making. The Senior Accountant collaborates with cross-functional departments to streamline processes and maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSFinancial Reporting:Prepare review and analyze financial statements including balance sheets income statements and cash flow accuracy completeness and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Month-End Close cycle: Coordinate month-end and year-end closing accounts review journal entries and adjust discrepancies as ME Close task include but are not limited to:Journal entry preparationExpense review and analysisCash accounting and bank reconciliationsFixed asset and CIP accountingPrepaid asset accountingComplex tasks such as lease accounting allocations enterprise-level reconciliationsActively participate in monthly operating review calls with facility leaders and operations managementProvide high-quality customer service to corporate department and facility leaders regarding accounting inquiriesPayroll accountingBudgeting and Forecasting:Collaborate with the finance team to develop budgets and financial Analysis:Conduct thorough financial analysis identifying trends opportunities and areas for financial models and scenarios to support strategic and Regulations:Ensure adherence to accounting standards tax regulations and relevant and submit required financial reports to regulatory bodies as of Internal Controls compliance with Internal Improvement:Identify inefficiencies in financial processes and recommend solutions for best practices to enhance accuracy efficiency and policies procedures and process flows. Audit Support:Collaborate with auditors during internal and external necessary documentation and explanations to support audit -Functional Collaboration & Ad hoc projects:Assist in special projects and initiatives requiring financial expertiseAssist departments outside of accounting with various projects and requestsResearch accounting guidance and make recommendationsDocumentation of policies and proceduresCreative work in implementing/improving accounting processesParticipate in enterprise-level process improvements Work closely with payroll team to maintain accounting structure and mapping in payroll systemWork closely with treasury team to ensure cash transfers are recorded timelySet up state payroll tax accountsSupport the annual 401k auditMaintain corporate allocations and ensure methodology is consistent with management agreementsSoftware Proficiency:Utilize accounting software and ERP systems to manage financial data create reports and streamline all functions according to established policies procedures regulatory and accreditation requirements as well as applicable professional standards. Provide all customers with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core behaviors each and every day. TYPE OF SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES NoneSCOPE AND COMPLEXITYWorks independently following GAAP standards and internal procedures. Excellent critical thinking and troubleshooting. Develops and implements scalable model for Corporate Accounting which are aligned with the organizational priorities and business objectives. This role routinely solves complex issues with equity debt and acquisition transactions. The position works independently and serves as a key influence and advisor to the senior leadership. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENT FACTORSOE - Typical Office Environment: Requires extensive sitting with periodic standing and walking. May be required to lift up to 20 pounds. Requires significant use of personal computer phone and general office equipment. Needs adequate visual acuity ability to grasp and handle objects. Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading writing and speaking in person or on telephone. May require off-site travel. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field (Masters degree or CPA is a plus).Proven experience (5 years) in accounting or financial management knowledge of GAAP financial reporting and compliance in financial with accounting software and ERP analytical communication and interpersonal -oriented mindset with the ability to work accurately under tight organizational and time-management in Microsoft Office heavy focus on MS Excel intermediate to advance knowledge is required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with Oracle Fusion Experience with Ceridian Dayforce
