Job Summary

Job Title: Finance - General Accountant
Location (On-site Remote or Hybrid): Dallas TX (onsite)
Contract Duration: 6 months

Position:
Project Accountant responsible for managing the financial aspects of the Aurora project ensuring accuracy of budgets/forecasts time reporting and meet financial reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management: Assist in financial planning and management of the Aurora project including time recording / valuation capitalization PO forecasting & actuals.
Variance Analysis: Investigate variances between budgeted and actual costs providing insights to project managers.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to provide timely financial information and support project goals.
Reporting: Prepare financial reports forecasts and cost estimates using Apptio Target Process for project management and oversight.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards particularly related to internally developed technology accounting reviewing contracts and reporting project cost performance as necessary.

Qualifications

Education: A bachelors degree in accounting finance business or a related field is typically required.
Experience: At least five years of experience in project accounting or a related field is preferred with familiarity in project accounting software SAP required Apptio One / Target Process desirable
Skills: Strong analytical skills attention to detail and excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this role.

Tools & Systems

Apptio One / Targetprocess Highly desirable but not required
Previously used Clarity but Clarity experience is not required
Tools are still being implemented so adaptability is key

Experience & Skills

3 5 years of experience preference toward the more senior end
Strong background in:
- Project accounting
- Financial forecasting
- Reconciliation
Excellent cross-cultural communication skills
Experience working with distributed/global teams
Additional language skills are a nice-to-have not required
No direct budget ownership; role focuses on monitoring and support

Work Environment & Culture

Very friendly collaborative culture
Office is in a quiet area of the building located close to Rob
Team is small but geographically dispersed (not Dallas-based)
High level of interaction with other locations and stakeholders
Flexibility needed for early meetings (as early as 7:00 7:30 AM CT) though accommodations may be possible
