Job Summary
Job Summary (Sr. Accountant Manufacturing):
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Oversee cost accounting functions related to production materials labor and overhead.
- Monitor and analyze inventory transactions for raw materials work-in-progress and finished goods.
- Perform variance analysis to identify trends in production costs labor efficiency material usage and waste.
- Collaborate with plant leadership to provide financial insights and support operational improvements.
- Assist with budgeting forecasting and capital expenditure tracking.
- Maintain accurate product costing inventory valuation and general ledger activity.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as required.
- Contribute to the improvement of accounting processes reporting accuracy and internal controls.
