What you will be doing:
- Lead and oversee all Banquets operations ensuring seamless execution of meetings conferences weddings and social events
- Collaborate closely with Sales Conference Services Culinary and other departments to ensure alignment and exceptional event delivery
- Drive a culture of luxury service excellence ensuring every event reflects the highest standards and attention to detail
- Develop mentor and inspire the Banquets leadership and colleague team fostering engagement accountability and growth
- Oversee staffing scheduling and resource allocation to align with business levels and operational needs
- Manage departmental financial performance including budgeting forecasting labor management and cost control
- Identify opportunities to enhance revenue through upselling service innovation and operational efficiencies
- Maintain strong relationships with clients ensuring personalized service and proactive communication throughout the event lifecycle
- Ensure compliance with health safety and sanitation standards
- Handle guest concerns and feedback with professionalism ensuring prompt resolution and service recovery
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence
- Other duties assigned
Qualifications :
Your experience and skills include:
- Previous leadership experience in Banquets or Events within a luxury hotel or high-volume environment
- Proven ability to lead large teams and manage complex operations
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting forecasting and cost management
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-centric mindset
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with Opera Delphi or similar systems is an asset
- Flexible schedule including evenings weekends and holidays
- Serving It Right certification required
- Experience in a luxury hotel or Forbes-rated environment considered an asset

You will be part of a collaborative leadership team working closely with Food & Beverage Culinary Sales and Conference Services. This role thrives in a fast-paced high-energy environment where teamwork and precision are key to delivering memorable events.
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
