Job Summary:
Acrisure is seeking aSpecialistRevenue &Receivablesto join our growing team inGrand Rapids.The roleis responsible forexecuting daily billing and receivable activities within an insurance environment. This role ensuresaccurateandtimelyinvoicing proper setup of billing terms reconciliation of receivable balances and adherence to GAAP and internal controls. The specialist supports high-volume billing and receivables processing contributes to month-end close activities and partners closely with internal stakeholders to ensure billing accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Billing & Receivables Management
Execute end-to-end billing andaccountsreceivable processes including policy invoicing endorsements adjustments and cancellations.
Ensureaccuratesetup of customer agent and carrier billing termsin accordance withinsurance contracts.
Monitorreceivable balances and aging reports;identifytrends discrepancies and potential collection risks.
Support month-end quarter-end and year-end close activities related to billing and receivables including reconciliations and journal entries.
Partner with Operations Sales andAccountingteams to resolve billing issues and ensureaccuraterevenue recognition
Financial Reporting & Compliance
Ensure billing and receivable activity is recordedin accordance withGAAP and insurance industry accounting standards.
Prepare documentation and support internal and external audit requests including reconciliations and supporting schedules.
Follow SOX controls and internal accounting policies related to billing and receivables.
Process Support & Improvement
Identifyopportunities to improve billing andaccountsreceivable processes to increase accuracy and efficiency.
Assistwith system enhancements reporting improvements and automation initiatives related to billing and receivables.
Maintainand follow documented standard operating procedures for billing and AR processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with internal departments to address billing inquiries resolve discrepancies and ensureaccurateaccount setup.
Provide guidance on billing procedures and documentation requirements when needed.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Strong understanding of insurance billing practices and receivable processes
Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Workday or agency management systems preferred
Education and Experience:
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
3 years of experience in accounts receivable and billing preferably in the insurance industry.
Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration team leadership and cross-functional partnership.
