Job Summary

Stress Engineer III

Responsibilities:

Independently conduct stress strain and fatigue analysis on components subassemblies and systems.
Use FEA tools and hand calculations to verify the structural integrity of designs.
Review and check engineering designs to ensure they meet project requirements safety standards and regulations.
Lead medium projects
Prepare detailed reports presentations and technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders with little oversight
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design testing and manufacturing to resolve engineering challenges.
Recommend design improvements and alternative materials based on analysis.
Can perform difficult structural analysis and FEAs with little any guidance.

Requirements:

6 years of relevant experience (Masters degree counts for 2 years of experience)
Bachelors Degree Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
Proficient in stress calculations and FEA software (e.g. ANSYS Abaqus Nastran)
Strong analytical skills and familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g. ASME ASTM).
Ability to manage medium projects and prioritize tasks.
