Overview

A multi-disciplinary engineering and consulting organization is seeking a Professional Engineer (PE) to support the design and delivery of civil engineering projects across residential commercial and municipal infrastructure sectors. This role focuses on engineering design project coordination and technical execution while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in site development stormwater management and infrastructure design along with the ability to contribute to project planning client communication and construction support activities.

Core Responsibilities

Engineering Design & Technical Execution

• Perform civil engineering design for land development and infrastructure projects
• Develop construction plans specifications and technical documentation
• Design stormwater management systems including detention and water quality solutions
• Apply site development design principles grading drainage and utility layout
• Utilize engineering software (AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar) for design and drafting

Project Coordination & Delivery

• Assist in managing project scope schedules and deliverables
• Coordinate with internal design teams external consultants and architects
• Support quantity takeoffs bid package preparation and technical specifications
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records management
• Participate in quality control (QA/QC) reviews to ensure design accuracy and completeness

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Communicate with clients municipalities and regulatory agencies
• Present project designs and technical information to stakeholders and public audiences
• Support permit coordination and regulatory approvals

Construction Support & Field Work

• Conduct site visits and field inspections to verify existing conditions
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications
• Review and process contractor submittals and shop drawings
• Identify and resolve design conflicts and field issues

Team Collaboration & Mentorship

• Collaborate with and support junior engineers and technical staff
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship on design standards and best practices
• Contribute to a collaborative team-oriented engineering environment

Qualifications & Experience

Experience

• Minimum 6 years of experience in civil engineering design and project delivery
• Experience with land development site design and municipal infrastructure projects
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Education & Certifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required

Technical Competencies

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design software
• Strong knowledge of stormwater management drainage design and water quality systems
• Experience with construction documentation bid preparation and specifications development
• Familiarity with site investigations feasibility studies and permitting processes
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook)
