Job Summary
12-month contract
Position: Automotive Apprentice (Learner Technician)
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Automotive Apprentice (Learner Technician). This is a 12-month contract position with the opportunity for permanent employment upon successful completion of the program.
As an Automotive Apprentice you will work alongside our experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in vehicle diagnostics and repairs. You will also receive training and support to obtain your trade qualification and become a fully qualified Automotive Technician.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in diagnosing and repairing vehicles under the guidance of experienced technicians
- Learn and apply technical skills related to vehicle diagnostics maintenance and repairs
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Attend training courses and complete assigned coursework to obtain trade qualification
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude
Requirements:
- Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- Passion for the automotive industry and willingness to learn
- Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics and electrical systems preferred
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Must be able to work full time and commit to a 12-month contract
- Valid drivers license preferred
