Purpose Of The Job:
Our client a prominent OEM is seeking a Junior Automotive Sales Trainer to support the delivery of product and sales training to their dealer network. The role focuses on equipping dealership sales staff with foundational knowledge of the companys vehicle range sales processes and internal systems.
The Junior Sales Trainer will assist in delivering structured training programs facilitating product knowledge sessions and supporting dealerships in improving their sales capability and customer engagement.
This role is ideal for someone with motor industry experience and an interest in training or facilitation.
Key Responsibilities:Training Delivery- Facilitate product and sales training sessions for dealership sales teams focusing on vehicle features customer engagement and basic sales techniques
Product Knowledge Training- Deliver training on the companys vehicle range key product features and competitive positioning to help dealership staff confidently present vehicles to customers
Training Material Support- Assist in the preparation and updating of training materials including presentations product guides and digital learning content
New Dealer Training- Support onboarding training for new dealership staff ensuring they understand core product knowledge and sales processes
Dealer Support- Provide ongoing support to dealerships by answering product-related questions and reinforcing training through follow-up sessions
Training Evaluation- Collect feedback from training sessions and assist in identifying opportunities to improve training delivery and content
Travel to Dealerships- Visit dealerships across South Africa to deliver training sessions and support the dealer network
Key Competencies- Strong interest in automotive products and the retail motor industry
- Good presentation and facilitation skills
- Ability to explain product features in a clear and engaging way
- Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Adaptability to different dealership environments and learning styles
- Organized and able to manage multiple training sessions
Requirements / Qualifications- Diploma or Degree in related field (advantageous)
- 13 years experience in the motor industry (sales product specialist or training exposure preferred)
- Previous experience presenting or facilitating training sessions
- Strong understanding of dealership sales processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint Excel Word)
- Valid drivers license
- Willingness to travel to dealerships nationally
