Location: Cape Town South Africa (Remote)

Compensation: R35 000- 55 000 pm performance bonus linked to retention expansion & new business
About the Company
A fast-growing technology business provides an AI-powered reputation and review management platform helping multi-location businesses collect manage and leverage customer feedback particularly across Google. The platform combines review monitoring AI-powered sentiment analysis surveys complaints management and dashboards to deliver actionable insights that improve operational performance customer experience and brand reputation. Primarily serving automotive dealer groups the company is entering new international markets including South Africa offering a unique greenfield opportunity for an exceptional commercial professional.
The Opportunity
This is a strategic hybrid role combining customer success retention and new business development. The successful candidate will manage and grow an existing Irish customer portfolio while building and expanding the UK automotive market from a South African base. This is a high-autonomy role ideal for someone commercially astute relationship-focused and experienced in SaaS account management within automotive retail.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Success & Retention (Ireland)
- Own and manage the existing customer portfolio ensuring full platform adoption and satisfaction.
- Drive expansion revenue through upsell/cross-sell opportunities (additional locations or product modules).
- Conduct quarterly business reviews demonstrating ROI and aligning product roadmap with customer needs.
- Monitor account health and proactively prevent churn.
New Business Development (UK)
- Build and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities targeting UK dealer groups and multi-location automotive networks.
- Lead full consultative sales cycles: discovery demonstration proposal and close.
- Represent the company at key UK automotive events and conferences.
- Provide market intelligence and competitor insights to inform strategy.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with the product and sales teams to ensure a coordinated go-to-market approach.
- Regularly report on KPIs including net revenue retention customer health and new ARR generated.
Who You Are
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in UK/Ireland automotive retail ideally with dealer groups or multi-location businesses.
- Experience working remotely from South Africa servicing UK/Ireland customers.
- 35 years SaaS account management experience with a strong track record in retention expansion and NPS/CSAT improvement.
- Commercially minded with the ability to identify develop and close new revenue opportunities.
- Exceptional communication and relationship management skills credible with senior UK/Ireland stakeholders.
- Based in South Africa with working hours overlapping UK/Ireland time zones.
Highly Desirable
- Experience in digital marketing CX or reputation management solutions for automotive retail.
- Knowledge of Google Business Profile local SEO and online review management.
- Familiarity with UK dealer groups (Lookers Pendragon Vertu Motors etc.) or NFDA/AM community.
- Previous experience with vendors such as CDK Global Reynolds & Reynolds Birdeye or Podium.
Key Performance Indicators
- Net revenue retention (Ireland): >110%
- Customer health and adoption metrics
- UK new business pipeline development and closed ARR
- Zero avoidable churn
