Job Summary

Role: Senior Platform Engineer
Duration: 6 Months
Location: New Jersey (Hybrid)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer with 14 years of experience in DevOps/DevSecOps and platform engineering to design build and automate enterprise container and middleware platforms. The role involves architecting scalable solutions supporting Kubernetes environments and driving automation.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement scalable and highly available platform solutions.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications.
Manage Kubernetes platforms (OpenShift preferred; EKS/AKS/GKE acceptable).
Implement and manage Service Mesh technologies such as Istio.
Automate infrastructure using Terraform (IaC).
Implement monitoring logging and alerting for platform reliability.
Collaborate with security teams to implement DevSecOps practices.
Troubleshoot complex production issues and mentor junior engineers.

Required Skills:

14 years of IT experience in Platform Engineering / DevOps.
Strong experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift and containers (Docker/Podman).
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins Git etc.).
Hands-on experience with Istio Service Mesh.
Experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
Cloud experience with AWS (preferred) or Azure.
Scripting skills (Shell Python Groovy or PowerShell).
Strong experience with Linux environments and networking concepts.

Nice to Have:

Experience with IBM Event Streams IBM MQ or IBM App Connect.
Knowledge of IBM CloudPak or WebSphere products.
