The Area: Gemini App
The Gemini App is at the forefront of the AI revolution bringing helpfulgenerative AI experiences to users across the globe. We are seeking avisionary Design Leader to lead the strategy that will define the future ofour product.
The Role
As a leader you will use your UX expertise to innovate and push thebounds of what the Gemini App can be for our customers. Your passionfor design and obsession with craft and quality are infectious and yourcreative perspective is informed by a deep awareness of culturalaesthetic and artistic Growth & Discovery Lead is responsible for the First Mile of theuser journey. Your mission is to solve the blank page problemensuringthat every user who downloads the Gemini app immediately discoversits value and integrates it into their daily life through intuitive onboardingand feature education.
Key responsibilities:
Onboarding Excellence: Own the end-to-end mobileonboarding flow. You will ruthlessly eliminate friction ensuringusers reach their first Aha! moment within seconds of
installation.Discovery Engine Design: Create contextual UI hooks andeducational prompts that teach users how to harness Geminisunique mobile features such as Live voice and camera-basedreasoning.
Data-Informed Iteration: Partner with Growth Marketing to runhigh-velocity A/B tests on app entry points home-screenwidgets and subscription conversions.
Viral Growth Loops: Design product-led growth mechanismsthat make Gemini content easily shareable driving organicadoption and network effects.
About You
In order to set you up for success we look for the following skills and experience:
- Minimum: 15 years of experience in User Experience / Designwith experience establishing UX best practices for emergingtechnologies or ambiguous problem spaces.
- 10 years in Product Design with a specialized focus on GrowthPLG or User Acquisition.
- Mastery of behavioral psychology and using data to informhigh-craft design decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders anddrive product strategy.
Preferred background includes one or any combination of the following:
- Masters degree or Ph.D. in a design-related field.
- Experience with AI/ML and agentic technologies; Depth andbreadth of knowledge that enables ideation and development ofcreative solutions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $275000 USD - $383000 USD bonus equity benefits. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
