Job Summary

The ITC Homes Coordinator plays a critical leadership role within MacKillops Permanency Support Program (PSP) Metro Sydney supporting the delivery of highquality Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) for children and young people with complex needs.

About the role

Reporting to the Regional Manager PSP you will provide operational leadership across ITC Homes ensuring services are delivered within a traumainformed therapeutic framework and in line with MacKillop policies OOHC standards and legislative and contractual requirements. You will lead supervise and support ITC House Managers to deliver safe consistent and developmentally appropriate care environments that promote healing wellbeing and positive life outcomes for young people.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • A tertiary qualification in social work social science community services youth work management or relevant field.
  • Substantial leadership experience in an equivalent role and demonstrated skills and experience in therapeutic residential care house management service in the Permanency Support Program and ITC will be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise lead and support a team of House Supervisors and Residential Care staff.
  • Ability to participate collaboratively and constructively within teams of peers staff and other stakeholders as well as initiative and effective personal judgement when working alone.
  • Knowledge and understanding of child protection OOHC trauma attachment and resilience theory; and child and adolescent development.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the issues faced by Aboriginal children young people and their families.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver positive outcomes for vulnerable children young people and their families.
