As a Test Strategy & Execution Management Manager at a leading foreign non-life insurance company in Japan you will lead end-to-end testing strategy and execution to ensure high-quality reliable insurance systems while driving innovation through generative AI and managing global teams and offshore partners in a compliant high-performance environment. .
Your Role and Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management: Lead and manage a team of 34 testers across Tokyo and Osaka driving performance mentoring and a culture of continuous improvement
Vendor & Offshore Management: Manage offshore vendors ensuring quality standards effective communication and seamless knowledge transfer
Strategic Planning & AI Integration: Develop and implement test strategies leveraging generative AI tools and driving testing innovation and automation roadmaps
Financial & Contract Management: Manage budgets and vendor contracts including cost optimization and financial tracking
Operational Excellence: Ensure regulatory compliance collaborate with cross-functional teams and establish robust testing frameworks and best practices
Experience and Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
Leadership Skills: Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams and offshore partnerships
Bilingual Communication: Fluency in both Japanese and English (written and verbal)
Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of software testing methodologies automation frameworks and quality assurance processes
AI & Innovation: Knowledge of generative AI applications in software testing and quality assurance
Insurance Industry Knowledge: Understanding of insurance business processes and regulatory requirements in Japan
Project Management: Strong skills in budget management contract negotiation and vendor relationship management
8 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
5 years of experience in team management and leadership roles
3 years of experience in vendor management and offshore coordination
Experience in the insurance or financial services industry (preferred)
Proven track record of implementing innovative testing strategies and AI-powered solutions
