Position Overview
The Counter Sales Associate is responsible for supporting daily sales operations by assisting customers preparing quotes and processing orders. This Counter Sales Associate role involves working directly with walk-in customers and handling phone inquiries while maintaining a high level of customer service. The ideal Counter Sales Associate is detail-oriented communicative and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Required Experience & Skills
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure
Basic math and organizational skills
Ability to learn product knowledge and internal systems quickly
Industrial or steel product knowledge is preferred but not required
Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist walk-in customers in a professional and courteous manner
Handle phone inquiries and sales
Prepare customer quotes accurately and efficiently
Process sales orders and related documentation
Provide product and service information to customers
Support daily sales and customer service operations
Maintain a clean and organized work area
