The Senior Tax Analyst is responsible for the preparation analysis and review of corporate tax filings and related compliance activities. This role supports tax planning initiatives ensures compliance with federal state and local tax regulations and assists in minimizing tax liabilities while maintaining full regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical detail-oriented and experienced in corporate taxation with strong technical knowledge of tax laws and reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal state and local tax returns in compliance with applicable regulations
- Support quarterly and annual tax provision calculations in accordance with ASC 740
- Conduct tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with evolving tax laws and regulations
- Assist in tax planning strategies to optimize organizational tax positions
- Reconcile tax accounts and ensure accuracy of general ledger tax entries
- Support audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess potential impact on the organization
- Collaborate with finance accounting and legal teams on tax-related matters
- Prepare documentation and schedules for internal and external reporting requirements
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in tax reporting
- Ensure compliance with all federal state and local tax filing deadlines
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field required
- Masters degree in Taxation or CPA designation strongly preferred
Experience
- 5 to 8 years of experience in corporate tax public accounting or a related tax role
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and corporate tax provision preferred
Skills and Competencies

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational and time management abilities

Compensation
- Annual Salary Range: $95000 to $135000 USD depending on experience certifications and qualification
