Job Summary
Forbes Advisor is growing! Were looking for an FP&A Analyst to join our finance team. The FP&A Analyst is responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial reports supporting month-end close analyzing financial results and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. The ideal candidate understands performance-based revenue models and is comfortable analyzing large datasets to drive actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Assist in month-end process; analysis of base-level data
- Monthly reporting: Prepare and present clear and concise financial reports to senior management offering insights into financial trends and opportunities for improvement
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis including monthly forecasting budgeting and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Assist in annual budget preparation and regularly monitor budget adherence identifying areas for cost optimization
- Analyze revenue cost drivers and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Identify financial risks and recommend strategies for risk mitigation to safeguard the companys financial stability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights support process improvements & decision-making and drive financial best practices across the organization
- Improve reporting processes controls and efficiencies
- Develop and maintain reporting models and dashboards
- Ad hoc requests and analyses will be frequent
Primary Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or related field
- 24 years of experience in FP&A corporate finance investment banking consulting or digital marketing finance
- Strong Excel skills required; experience with ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite SAP Oracle) is a plus
- Ability to work cross-functionally with impacted stakeholders
- Strong capabilities in reporting and analysis
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Ability to navigate ambiguous situations bring options and provide recommendation
- Solutions driven and self-starter who understands the importance of accuracy and timeliness make a difference and contribute to the success of the business
- Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills
