Job Title:Campus Technology Specialist
Reports to: Director of Technology
Dept./Campus:Assigned Campus
Classification:Non-exempt
Primary Purpose:Be the first point of contact at the campus level for technology troubleshooting. Provide technical support in the use of hardware and software on multiple campuses. Provide repair and maintenance of a variety of technological equipment. Troubleshoot and repair technology devices. Assist users in resolving technical problems.

Special Knowledge/Skills
- Broad knowledge of computer hardware and software applications
- Knowledge of operating systems Windows Apple and Android Devices
- Ability to develop and maintain systems documentation and technical assistance manuals
- Ability to detect and resolve technical or technology-related problems
- Ability to solve problems and document work processes
- Strong organizational communication interpersonal and time management skills
- Enjoy working with others as well as independently
- Self-motivated
- Ability to work with vendors and troubleshoot technical issues
- Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with all district staff
- Understand and troubleshoot basic network and wireless infrastructure
- Assist in troubleshooting audio video and phone issues
- Efficiently maintain and repair computer equipment and systems
Experience
- Experience supporting end users with technology is preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Support
- Complete jobs submitted through the work order system in an expedited manner by troubleshooting and supporting users with technical issues.
- Perform upgrades to software and hardware.
- Work closely with campus personnel on technological needs.
- Provide assistance on campuses with laptop carts classroom computers and labs as needed.
- Assist with the distribution of technology materials for classroom/campus use.
- Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of hardware software and computer labs.
- Relocate computer hardware peripherals and equipment as needed.
- Correct unsafe conditions in the work area/campus and report any conditions that are not correctable to the supervisor immediately.
- Operate tools and equipment according to prescribed safety procedures.
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting climbing carrying etc.
- Communicate with vendors regarding repair issues with educational devices as they apply.
- Compile maintain and file all physical and computerized reports records and other documentation as required.
- Keep informed of and comply with policies established by federal and state law State Board of Education rule and local board policy.

- Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Display tolerance necessary for accepting supervision for and criticism of job performance.
- Work in harmony with supervisory faculty and peer personnel.
- Use professional information discreetly and judiciously.
- Support and follow administrative and Board policy.
- Represent the school system to the community in a positive professional way.
- Maintain a sincere friendly attitude toward patrons.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Tools/Equipment Used: Personal computer and peripherals; standard instructional equipment; P.E. teachers: automated external defibrillator (AED)
Posture: Prolonged standing; frequent kneeling/squatting bending/stooping pushing/pulling and twisting
Motion: Frequent walking
Lifting: Regular light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); may lift and move textbooks and classroom equipment
Environment: Work inside may work outside; regular exposure to noise
Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress; work prolonged or irregular hours
