Job Summary

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelors degree from a recognized accredited college or university;
  2. Valid Texas teaching certification;
  3. Minimum of 3-5 years of successful teaching experience; prior coaching or leadership experience strongly preferred.
  4. Demonstrate success in school improvement initiatives and/or instructional coaching
  5. Deep knowledge of instructional best practices student data analysis and effective intervention design.
  6. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and collaboration with diverse teams.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Probationary/Term Contract: 193 days

SALARY:

$66267 IA-3

Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Collaborate with campus staff to identify campus-specific challenges that hinder student growth and performance.
  2. Partner with instructional leadership teams to design and implement strategic systems and structures that promote sustainable school improvement.
  3. Monitor and report school progress using the districts school monitoring system including analysis of classroom walkthrough data and instructional trends.
  4. Analyze assessment data to guide instructional planning student grouping intervention design and strategic lesson delivery aligned to state standards.
  5. Provide instructional coaching through planning support co-teaching and modeling of effective instructional practices.
  6. Support teachers with classroom management to contribute to effective learning environments.
  7. Design and facilitate campus-based professional development aligned to instructional goals and teacher needs.
  8. Reinforce high expectations and accountability through continuous coaching actionable feedback and support effective instructional delivery.
  9. Facilitate collaborative data reviews with campus staff and stakeholders to identify trends and inform instructional improvement strategies.
  10. Assist in promoting a positive school culture focused on academic achievement.
  11. Support the development of student supports both academic and behavioral interventions to meet individual and school-wide instructional needs.
  12. Utilize video-based reflection tools to enhance teacher instructional best practices and professional growth.
  13. Communicate campus instructional needs and priorities with district staff.
  14. District-wide travel and flexibility.
  15. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of School Improvement and Transformation.

Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function for both campus-based support and responsibilities and district-based support and responsibilities.

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing stooping bending pulling and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks media equipment desks and other classroom equipment.
