We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to support and strengthen our safety program across
midstream and downstream operations. This individual will work closely with management and field personnel to ensure
compliance promote a strong safety culture and assist in the development and implementation of company safety
initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter critical thinker and team-oriented professional who can balance regulatory
compliance with practical field application.
JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Regulatory & Compliance
- Oversee and maintain DOT compliance programs
- Manage incident reporting and investigation processes
- Maintain document control systems and safety records
- Assist with pre-qualification submissions and client safety requirements
- Coordinate and assist with random drug and alcohol testing
- Support fraud alert monitoring within company fuel card system
- Program Development & Implementation
- Assist in development and execution of Pre-Job Safety Programs
- Participate in and help implement new safety initiatives
- Support and maintain the Safe Driving Program
- Monitor and track KPIs related to safety performance
- Assist with scheduling and tracking employee safety training
- Field Support
- Conduct job site safety evaluations
- Work collaboratively with field personnel to ensure compliance and best practices
- Maintain a personable and professional relationship with employees
- Provide level-headed resolution to safety-related issues in the field
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge skills and abilities:
- 24 years of safety experience (oil & gas midstream downstream or related industry preferred)
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) or related field required
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and compliance requirements
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a drug and alcohol test and background check
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software platforms
- Willing and able to travel to job sites as needed
- Available to be on-call and respond when necessary
