Sitting within the broader growth team the Client Discovery Team acts as the front door of Anthesis and has a unique viewpoint across all business lines and insight to the full portfolio of services that Anthesis offers. The core responsibility of Client Discovery Team is to qualify inbound leads identify prospective clients and conduct targeted outreach as part of the critical initial stage of our business development process. This includes targeted outreach to prospective clients undertaking timely research on new leads tracking lead data in our CRM supporting proposal and RFP processes engaging with wider growth and consulting teams within our business and building and maintaining useful resources and networks to make the business development process more efficient and effective. The role requires strong written and verbal communication skills collaborative coordination diligence and the willingness to work across global time zones with Anthesis colleagues working around the world.
Key Responsibilities
New Business:
- Targeted prospect outreach and management of new business / cross sell opportunities.
- Research to identify new clients and sectors which Anthesis can support in delivering sustainable performance.
- Supporting growth and consulting team with meeting research and preparation in order to best prepare them to engage with the client and present our unique range of sustainability solutions to senior decision makers.
- Serve as an SME within Australia for Anthesis digital tools and conduct product demonstrations for prospective clients.
- Support growth and consulting teams during client contracting procurement and onboarding processes.
Proposal & RFP Support:
- Support growth team and consultants with proposal writing coordination and many cases the proposals require coordination spanning multiple consultant teams.
- Work with Marketing and consultant SMEs to develop credential and case study material for proposals.
Inbound-Lead Qualification:
- Qualify inbound leads and prospect potential new business opportunities.
- Maintain CRM data tracking business development activity.
- Collaborate with wider growth team and consultants throughout the BD process via notetaking coordination scheduling and proposal support.
Experience and interests:
- Education and experience in Sustainability Marketing or Sales.
- Experience working to deadlines whilst collaborating with and project managing diverse teams.
- Passion for corporate sustainability business development and sales operations.
Skills Knowledge & Expertise
- B2B Business development experience with a track record of success.
- Familiarity with CRM tools such as NetSuite HubSpot or Microsoft Dynamics preferred but not essential.
- Strong skills in Excel and other data tracking tools.
- Passionate about translating complex ideas into PowerPoint presentations
- Strong curiosity for how data can tell us stories about what is working well in our BD process and how we can improve.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment and to tight deadlines.
