Who is hiring:
Our client is a leading player in the downstream energy sector operating across South Africa with strong industry influence. The Finance function is at the heart of the business ensuring compliance insightful reporting and value creation while guiding operational and strategic decisions.
What the role is about:
As Manager Planning Performance & Reporting youll oversee group financial performance statutory reporting and management insights. Youll drive business planning budgeting forecasting and regulatory compliance while supporting senior management in strategic decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee statutory reporting ensuring IFRS compliance and alignment with corporate legislative and regulatory standards
- Lead consolidation and analysis of divisional performance providing actionable insights to the Board committees and internal stakeholders
- Manage annual business planning budgeting and rolling forecasts ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
- Conduct strategic costing and pricing analysis to optimize margins and ensure sustainability
- Develop maintain and improve financial processes policies and reporting frameworks across the Group
- Manage and mentor a team of finance managers fostering high performance and professional development
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders including regulatory bodies auditors and industry associations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives risk mitigation and adherence to governance HSEQ and ethics policies
What were looking for:
- CA(SA) qualification
- Minimum 15 years experience in finance with at least 10 years in downstream Oil & Gas
- Proven managerial experience with the ability to lead and influence senior management
- Strong knowledge of IFRS statutory reporting business planning and financial analysis
- Excellent stakeholder engagement analytical and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to deliver under tight deadlines including year-end and monthly cycles
- Experience managing managers and fostering team capability development
