An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Factory Manager to join a well-established and growing food manufacturing business based in the Edinburgh area.
This is a key leadership role within a fast-paced production environment offering the chance to make a real impact in a business that is investing in growth and operational improvement.
The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the factory leading multiple production departments and ensuring the highest standards across operations.
This is a highly hands-on position with a strong presence required on the factory floor.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and developing teams across production logistics and associated functions
Driving production efficiency output and continuous improvement
Ensuring high standards of food safety hygiene and compliance (including HACCP)
Overseeing staffing training and performance management
Supporting maintenance planning and capital investment projects
Promoting a strong health & safety culture across site
Deputising for senior leadership when required
The Candidate
We are looking for a motivated and personable leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
You will ideally have:
Proven experience in a Factory Manager / Production Manager role within food manufacturing
Strong people management and leadership skills
A hands-on approach with the ability to lead from the front
Good knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP
Experience working in a high-volume production environment
A continuous improvement mindset
