Classification Minimum Requirements

Required Qualifications:
Be a current University of Florida full-time student in good standing with at least a 2.5 GPA
Attend monthly staff meetings (4 per semester Friday at 4pm)
Committed to work two consecutive semesters at minimum (Fall & Spring)
Demonstrated previous experience with administrative duties.
Demonstrate attention to professionalism dependability and timeliness.

Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient with verbal and written communication.
Demonstrate previous experience in customer service.
Experience serving as a student organization leader

Job Description:

Aide student organizations by providing accurate information related to the event permitting process.

Serve as the gateway for reviewing new permits received.
Assign accurate permit reviewers to each submission in a timely manner.
Connect with students regarding their permits via email walk-in or phone.
Serve as a liaison between Community & Belonging staff and permit partners when needed.
Complete all training requirements upon being hired in a timely fashion.
Complete special projects on shift as needed.
Commit to working at least 10 hours per week (maximum of 20)
Assist with planning & execution of Permit education events/programs and other permit review/process related events as needed.
Responsible for opening portal 2nd floor Engagement spaces & desk area
Responsible for opening and closing 2nd floor portal space if Student Engagement front desk students are not available
Reset 2nd floor portal space at start & end of each workday including 4 engagement spaces
Other duties as assigned.

Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Demonstrate a desire and willingness to learn in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
Establish an exemplary work ethic by being proactive self-motivated and dependable.
Participate in all scheduled meetings trainings and evaluations.
Respond to and assist with emergency situations and building evacuations per department procedures or as instructed by building management staff.
Act as an ambassador for all Student Engagement areas as well as the University of Florida providing accurate information and campus resources.

Expected Salary:

$16/hr

Monday Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday 12pm 5pm

Summer Hours:
Monday Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
