Position Purpose:
The Business Intelligence Engineer is responsible for supporting the transformation of complex data into actionable insights to inform strategic business decisions. This role focuses on assisting in the design and implementation of BI solutions including data analysis data modeling and visual reporting to enhance the organizations understanding of its performance and opportunities.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze complex datasets identify trends patterns and correlations and turn raw data into meaningful and actionable insights to support business objectives and decision-making.
- Dashboard and Report Development: Design develop and maintain dynamic BI dashboards and reports using tools such as Looker or Power BI to present data in a visually appealing and easy-to-understand manner for various stakeholders.
- Data transformation: Develop implement and maintain data transformation processes to consolidate data from various sources ensuring data accuracy consistency and completeness across the organizations BI systems.
- Collaboration and Cross-functional Support: Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization including business units IT and any data user to understand their data needs and requirements and provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support their objectives.
Work Environment:
- Hybrid mode (2 days a week in the office)
Qualifications :
Education/Experience/Background:
- A bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science Data Science Information Systems Business Analytics or Statistics is required. A masters degree or an MBA with a focus on analytics data management or a related discipline is highly preferred to demonstrate advanced knowledge and expertise.
- A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in business intelligence data analysis or a related field with a demonstrated track record of successfully delivering data-driven insights and solutions. Experience in leading BI projects and managing teams is highly valued.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong understanding of business intelligence concepts advanced data analysis techniques data warehousing integration transformation orchestration processes and data visualization principles.
- Strong expertise in SQL and experience with programming languages such as Python.
- Mastering various BI tools including Power BI and/or Looker is essential.
- Proven experience in the environment and water industries in which Veolia is the world leader with a deep understanding of the unique data requirements and challenges in that sector.
- Demonstrated experience in working in cross-functional teams managing projects and driving data-driven initiatives to successful completion.
- Good analytical problem-solving and critical thinking skills; outstanding communication and presentation abilities; and a proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
- Nice to have: Looker Business Analyst Certification
- Nice to have: PowerBI Data Analyst Associate certification
Additional Information :
Pay Range: $115000 to $125000 Per Year
