Primary Hours: 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.

This positionis responsible forpreparing analyzing and supporting key financial and statistical reporting functions required by State and Federal oversight agencies. The roleis accountable forcore components of the CMS64 and CMS21 federal reporting processes including collecting supporting documentation compiling program expenditure data and ensuring the accuracy of informationsubmittedto the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The role acts as acontactfor State and Federal auditors coordinating audit activities and providingtimelyaccess to workpapers reports and supporting documentation.
Prepares and analyzes program expenditure and statistical data used in State and Federal reporting including components of the CMS-64 and CMS-21 reports.
Collects reviews andvalidatesfinancial and programmatic data from internal systems and program areas to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to submission to oversight agencies.
Performs reconciliations between financial systems statistical reports and supporting documentation to verify reported expenditures andidentifydiscrepancies.
Coordinates the compilation of documentation and supporting schedules required for State and Federal reporting requirements.
Serves as a liaison to State and Federal auditors by coordinating audit requests preparing audit-ready workpapers and providing documentation and explanations related to reported expenditures.
Assistsin preparing portions of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) and the OMES GAAP Conversion package by compiling verifying and documenting required financial information.
Researches and interprets Federal reporting requirements and guidance to ensure compliance with CMS reporting standards and State accounting policies.
Develops andmaintainsdocumentation procedures and workpapers supporting financial reporting processes and audit readiness.
Collaborates with internal program areas finance staff and external partners to resolve data discrepancies and ensuretimelycompletion of reporting deadlines.
Supports continuous improvement of financial reporting processes including identifying opportunities to improve data accuracy reporting efficiency and internal controls.

The role demands strong skills in compilingvalidating and reconciling large datasets; preparingaccurateand compliant financial reports; using spreadsheets databases and financial reporting tools; and communicating effectively with auditors program staff and external agencies. Thepositionrequires the ability to interpret and apply complex reporting requirements compileand analyze member population and expenditure data prepare audit-ready workpapers manage multiple deadlines troubleshoot data inconsistencies work independently and collaboratively andmaintainconfidentiality while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.

Anequivalentcombinationofeducationandexperiencesubstituting1yearof professional level experience for each year of the required education.

Work is typically performed in an office setting with climate-controlled settings and exposure to moderate noise levels.In the course ofperforming job duties employeesare required tospeak stand walk and reach with their hands and arms. This position requires extended periods of sitting and daily use of computers and phones. Employees must be willing to complete all job-related travel associated with this position. Being present at the office is an essential function of this position.
