Responsibilities
The Department of Business & Entrepreneurship requires a full-time professor able to teach management operations entrepreneurship leadershipculinary principles bakery principlesand human resources. The position has the essential job functions required of all full-time faculty: teaching student advising & mentoring and service. The successful candidate willpossessstrong management and team buildingexpertise enhance the departments diversity and be able to relate to our diverse student population.
The successful candidate will be qualified to teach several of the following classes. Programs: Business Administration (A.S.) - SUNY Onondaga Community College; BusinessEntrepreneurship(A.A.S). -SUNY Onondaga Community College; Culinary Management(A.A.S.).

- BUS-231 Human Resource Management
- ENT-101Entrepreneurial Studies I
- ENT-201Entrepreneurial Studies II

- FSA-230Entrepreneurship in Hospitality with lab
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be responsive to student questions and available for student support
- Useappropriate technologyto enhance learning
- Assess learning outcomes and adapt curriculum to meet learningobjectives
- Demonstrate insight and encouragement in working with diverse student populations especially students traditionally underrepresented in higher education
- Provideappropriate academicadvising to students to supporttimelydegree completion
- Be innovative in the presentation of lectures and hands-on learning activities that achieve learning outcomes
- Providetimelyfeedback on students assignments and exams throughout each semester
- Be accountable to meet the needs of the Department and the College includingtimelysubmission of grades and other required materials.

Appointment at the Rank of Assistant Professor:
- Candidates must have earned amasters degree in business administration(MBA) from an accredited university college or foreign or certificationsdemonstratea breadth of learning experience and professional development will enhance an applicants candidacy.
- ValidNational Restaurant Association ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certificate.
- Previouscollege teaching experience in face-to-face and online (synchronous and asynchronous) modalitiesarerequiredin Business Entrepreneurship and CulinaryManagement.
- Small business owner with at least10yearsexperienceasa smallbusiness owner inthe foodservice industry such assandwichshopsbakeryand/orfood truck owner.
- Curriculum development and assessment mapping experienceat thecollege level.
- Practical work experience in the fields of business leadership management operationsfood servicesmall business ownerand human resources is required.
- The successful candidate will combine mastery of businessentrepreneurial leadership management operations and human resources theory with a demonstrated history and strong working knowledge of how the concepts apply in practice.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA and amasters degree in education(.)from an accredited university college or foreign equivalency.
- Experience in curriculum development at the college level.
- Quality Matters (QM) online certification and experience in Brightspace D2L LMS.
- Bilingual in Spanish & English. English and another language will be considered.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES:
- In addition to their educational and professional credentials the successful candidate must be a self-starter with an impeccable work ethic skilled at communication organization team building and collaboration. The successful candidate willdemonstratetheir passion for teaching and mentoring students and their ability to connect with historically underrepresented student populations.
