In collaboration with the director the Manager Audit Programs oversees all internal and external audit programs to ensure regulatory compliance IOSA compliance and the continuous improvement of Air Transats safety and quality management systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead the internal and external audit programs based on directives from the Technical Operations Flight Operations Airport Operations and Business Continuity vice presidencies.
- Supervise and approve the annual audit plan prepared by the lead auditor ensuring alignment with CARs IOSA and any other applicable standards.
- Adjust audit scope and frequency based on performance indicators risk assessments operational changes or emerging issues.
- Provide leadership to the audit team to ensure independence consistency quality and impartiality in audit execution.
- Support the presentation of audit findings and the follow-up of corrective and preventive actions.
- Oversee the continuous training and development of auditors and of team members from other departments involved in audit activities.
- Maintain strong collaboration with audited sectors and keep the relevant vice presidencies informed of results performance significant findings and urgent compliance safety quality or security issues.
- Participate in other internal audits and support Quality Assurance projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications :
- University or college degree in a relevant field.
- Ten (10) years of experience in the air transportation industry including a minimum of three (3) years as an auditor; experience in aircraft maintenance is an asset.
- Experience managing a team and demonstrated ability to coach and support team members.
- Knowledge of IOSA auditing (asset).
- Strong communication interpersonal and organizational skills with diplomacy tact and impartiality.
- Excellent time and priority management skills with the ability to address urgent matters effectively.
- Excellent proficiency with MS Office (Word Excel Outlook Teams) and strong comfort with digital tools and AI (e.g. Copilot); ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Oral and written fluency in French and English * A good knowledge of French is required for positions offered in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate frequently in English both orally and in writing with colleagues customers and other stakeholders in Quebec the rest of Canada and internationally.
