Job Summary

Position: Coordinator Research & Programs
Department:Person Centered Care and Programs
Reports to:Senior Manager Research & Programs
Location:The Lung Health Foundation is based in Toronto and operates in a hybrid model
in which staff are required to work at the office a minimum of two days each
week with occasional travel within Ontario and across Canada as required.
Salary: $50000 - $55000

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Coordinator Research & Programs plays a critical role in advancing the LHFs mission to drive positive change in lung health policy and practice across Canada. Reporting to Senior Manager Research & Programs the Coordinator will contribute to the day-to-day administration of LHFs research granting processes including supporting funding competitions coordinating peer review activities and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders such as researchers and clinicians. They will help ensure processes run smoothly and align with organizational priorities.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional who is interested in gaining experience at the intersection of research data and program delivery and is passionate about improving outcomes for people living with lung disease.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Research Granting & Program Support

  • Support the coordination and administration of LHFs research funding activities including application intake peer review logistics and communication with applicants
  • Assist in maintaining relationships with researchers clinicians and partners
  • Track and document funded project activities and support reporting requirements
  • Provide administrative support to working groups and committees including scheduling and materials preparation
Program Data & Evaluation Support

  • Assist in the implementation of data collection processes and tools across programs
  • Maintain and organize datasets ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Contribute to reporting on program performance and outcomes
  • Assist in the development and tracking of key performance indicators
Knowledge Mobilization & Dissemination

  • Support the development of reports presentations and other knowledge products
  • Contribute to manuscript development and other dissemination activities as appropriate
  • Coordinate logistics for knowledge sharing activities such as webinars workshops and conferences
Project Coordination & Operations

  • Support project planning timelines and deliverables across research and program initiatives
  • Assist with grant reporting funding applications and internal documentation
  • Provide general coordination support across cross-functional initiatives
Equity Inclusion and Organizational Support

  • Apply a health equity lens in supporting research and program activities
  • Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive team environment
  • Support additional projects and priorities as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • An undergraduate degree in public health health sciences health policy research methods or a related field; a masters degree is considered an asset
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in health research program coordination data analysis evaluation or research administration
  • Experience supporting research funding processes grant administration or academic/research projects is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to support data collection basic analysis and reporting; experience with Excel or other data tools preferred
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to support development of reports and presentations
  • Interest or experience in knowledge mobilization research dissemination or supporting publications is an asset
  • Experience working with healthcare professionals researchers or community partners is an asset
  • Familiarity with health equity principles and an interest in inclusive and patient-centered approaches to research and programs
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new systems (e.g. CRM platforms survey tools or grant management systems)
  • Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset
