About the role
This role sits within the NSW Early Learning Commission which began operation as the independent regulator for early childhood education and care (ECEC) in New South Wales on 1 December 2025. We are responsible for regulating over 6000 ECEC services across NSW to ensure they meet stringent standards of safety quality and compliance. We oversee these services to protect childrens health safety and development through rigorous ongoing assessments and compliance monitoring.
As the Media Liaison Officer you will play a key role in managing NSW Early Learning Commissions strategic engagement with the media. You will work closely with executives senior staff and Ministerial offices to develop and implement effective media strategies coordinate timely responses to media enquiries and preparing holding statements during critical incidents. You bring solid experience in media journalism or public relations with a proven ability to collaborate with a range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver successful news media strategies.
