About the role
The Facilities Officer willbe responsible forsupportingday to dayactivities within Vocational Education (VE) as part of the Planning & Resources team. The role will work under the direction of theFacilitiesCoordinator to providea high levelof service across processes and tasks which support the effective operation of VE facilities.Thisincludessupporting the administration related to space planningincludingtechnical spaces production projectseventsand showcases.
The role will also include:
Responding to ticketssubmittedvia RMITs Service Management system (ServiceNow)
Assistingwith theorderingdeliveryand setup of IT assets for staff
Creation and upkeep ofIT records using the M365 suite
Assistingwithproject planning and implementation
Assistingwith planning and delivery of minor works projects
Provide generaland administrationsupport to staff in relation toVEfacilities and IT assets
To be successful in this position youwillhave:
Experience in providing high-level administrative support in a large and complexorganisation
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated experience andexpertisein the provision of quality customer service including sound knowledge and consistent application of relevant policy and procedures and the ability to provide advice
Well-developed interpersonal andproblem-solvingskills with the ability to take the initiative inidentifyingand pursuing opportunities to improve existing practices and services
Ability to build andmaintaineffective and productive relationships with a wide range of groups both internal and external
Demonstrated a high-level of digital literacy and the ability to learn new platforms quickly including the full Microsoft suite electronic & online communicationtoolsand databases
Proven ability to work effectively as a flexible team member committed to achieving own and work team goals and priorities and to continuous improvement
Ability toprioritisetasks and meet deadlines in a demanding environment
Experience in RMIT Systems and ServiceNow is highly desirable.
